Value of goods

9.2 Limited Liability.

9.2.1 If you do not provide us with a declaration of value, or if you do not require us to accept Standard Liability pursuant to clause 9.1, then our liability to you is to be determined in accordance with Clauses 9.1.3, 9.2.2 and 11.

9.2.2 In the event of loss of or damage to your goods caused by negligence or breach of contract on our part, our liability to you is to be assessed as a sum equivalent to the cost of their repair or replacement, taking into account their age and condition immediately prior to their loss or damage, subject to a maximum liability of £40 per item. Your attention is drawn to clause 11.1 which applies to Limited Liability.

Duration

Please enter the period your items are to be stored for. (Please note: our minimum storage charge is for 4 weeks; however, you may of course store for a shorter period if you wish.)

Access to storage unit(s)

Please note that access options vary depending on the size of unit you have selected:

10sq ft and 35sq ft units

Accessible Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm only, with 24 hours notice. Customer ID will be required upon arrival.

160sq ft and 320sq ft units

Accessible by swipe card and key holders, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - others during opening times Monday to Friday 08.30 to 5.00pm . A high visibility jacket must be worn when on site. This jacket can be collected prior to unit occupation and kept for the duration of your storage period. A £10 (plus VAT) deposit is required for the jacket, which will be added to your first invoice and refunded when your items are taken out of storage upon safe return of the jacket. Prior to occupation, if access is required (all unit sizes), two forms of I.D. must be supplied e.g. driving licence, passport, utility bill or similar proof. Customers requesting swipe cards (160 & 320sq ft units only) will also be required to have a security photo taken at our Bletsoe head office on issuing of their swipe card.

Health and Safety

When visiting storage units during opening times (8.30am to 5.00pm) all visitors are required to sign in at reception.

Collection Charges

Collection charges are calculated in respect of: length of storage period, geographic location and size of storage unit.

For a 6 months (26 weeks) storage period, collection is free from addresses in London, Beds, Bucks, Cambs, Essex, Herts, Leics, Northants and Oxon.
